Regulation
All waste going into the compactor must be in a CLEAR PLASTIC BAG.
Colored bags, whether blue, gray, white, black, green or store plastic are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Also NOT ACCEPTABLE are brown paper grocery bags or cardboard boxes.
Any person or corporation violating the above provision will be FINED $25.00 FOR EACH VIOLATION, payable to the Town of Marlborough.

Hours Open to the Public:
Wednesday: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Information you should know about our facility:
- Recycling is mandatory; no recyclables should be found in your trash.
- Clear see-through plastic bags must be used for your trash only (for sale at the first window).
- A windshield I.D. sticker is required (at no cost).
- There is no charge for depositing your trash and recyclables, but we must charge a fee for certain large items such as refrigerators, sofas, etc.
- We cannot accept hazardous waste materials. However, in cooperation with the Keene RTC, there are special Hazardous Waste Days each year.
- This facility also serves the town of Roxbury.
- We maintain a Swap Shop for the free exchange of useful items.
We are a community-oriented facility with the avowed purpose of raising awareness regarding the importance of recycling.
